Growing and connecting the right professionals through Professionals Connect

Growing and connecting the right professionals through Professionals Connect

PPS is about more than just providing end-to-end financial services to graduate professionals. With a vested interest in growing the pool of graduate professionals in South Africa, the commitment from PPS begins before graduates become professionals.

This commitment is divided into three primary pillars operating under Professionals Connect’s auspices. Professionals Connect is a platform specifically geared towards students, graduates and young professionals. The platform provides all users with relevant industry-specific information as well as job opportunities. Professionals Connect allows us to collaborate with professional associations, corporates, academic institutions and experienced professionals, providing key information and great opportunities to empower our youth.

We encourage all our members to advertise job vacancies on the Professionals Connect portal, where young professionals can view and apply for jobs advertised by potential employers from various industries.

Pillar 1: The PPS Bursary programme that aims to improve access to education and make a measurable contribution to South Africa’s sustainable development by growing the professional pipeline. The programme supports tertiary students who display meritorious academic achievements.

Pillar 2: The PPS University Support Programme that focuses on public tertiary institutions and facilitates initiatives whose intended outcomes align with both the national interest and South Africa’s socio-economic agenda. There is a concentrated focus on aiding the development of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) professionals, which our country sorely needs. This programme is a platform for positive and constructive change – from computer labs to feeding programmes. It significantly lends to the teaching and learning experience, uplifting previously disadvantaged students and empowering educators with the tools they need to deliver world-class education.

Pillar 3: The PPS Learned, Engaged, Accelerated Professionals Work Readiness Programme (LEA) that aims to equip attendees with unmatched skills, tools and mechanisms vital for their assimilation into the work environment. The programme provides professional development workshops on topics such as personal branding, CV and interview preparation, as well as financial wellness geared at young professionals.

Professionals Connect is an asset of PPS Foundation, an initiative whose sole purpose is to identify and nurture the talent of South Africa’s youth. Acting as a facilitator of, and partner in collaborations between various stakeholders – PPS Foundation is dedicated to the task of assisting young South Africans to appreciate and actualise their potential.
